Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt.
– Leonardo da Vinci
Many people lose their artistic confidence from a really young age, often because they’ve been told that they’re doing it wrong, or the adult takes over the experience for the child. Children then begin to look critically at their own art, become fearful and quickly loose the enjoyment and the confidence in their experience of visual arts. Therefore, it is so important to allow the children to express themselves. There is no right or wrong way in art making. It does not have boundaries. It enables us to play with materials, to express our thinking, to problem solve, to process our emotions and make sense of ourselves and our world. The benefits of the visual arts are lifelong.
With specially designed themes according to current events or children’s interests, young artists create their own unique art works while all the elements and principles of art which interwoven in their creation are taught and matured in the same process in a holistic way.
